MAGA Flips Off Judges As DOJ Argues It's All Just A Big Misunderstanding
They didn't really MEAN they were going to defy a court order, your Honor!

The constitutional crisis took several giant steps forward over the weekend as the Trump administration crossed into more or less open defiance of federal court orders.
Most visibly, Musk and the trained seals who applaud his every utterance are now openly gunning to disregard judicial rulings they don’t like.
“A corrupt judge protecting corruption. He needs to be impeached NOW!” Musk tweeted in outrage at a temporary restraining order (TRO) granted to 19 states who complain that allowing rando hackers access to their financial data violates the Privacy Act and poses a danger of imminent, irreparable harm.
Judge Paul Engelmayer, the emergency judge on duty Friday night in the Southern District of New York, barred Treasury officials from allowing anyone other than “civil servants with a need for access to perform their job duties within the Bureau of Fiscal Services who have passed all background checks and security clearances and taken all information security training called for in federal statutes” to access sensitive financial information on Treasury’s servers. Which means that the DOGE bros are locked out, at least until Judge Jeanette Vargas (the regularly assigned judge) can hear argument on a non-emergency basis next week.
In reality, the TRO is only marginally broader than the agreement signed voluntarily Wednesday in a similar case brought by labor unions. But that didn’t stop the billionaire maniac and his howler monkeys from complaining that the fix was in.
Musk purported to be appalled at the “illegal” judge shopping which got the case in front of Judge Engelmayer. Yes, that’s the same Elon Musk who sued DC-based Media Matters in the Fort Worth Division of the Northern District Texas to get in front of the only federal judge who wouldn’t laugh him out of court for lack of personal jurisdiction.
“I’d like to propose that the worst 1% of appointed judges, as determined by elected bodies, be fired every year. This will weed out the most corrupt and least competent,”,” said the man who has clearly never read Article II of the Constitution, and yet spends much of the day holding forth on all the “fraud” he found spelunking through government servers.
Republican Rep. Darrell Issa promised the he was “immediately introducing legislation next week to stop these rogue judges and allow Trump and DOGE to tell you where government is spending your money” and got the hoped-for pat on the ass from the grand vizier.
