There are a lot of things that I fear, of late, but a big one is this - Republicans have no intention of ever leaving power.
The Roberts` court is gleefully handing over dictatorial-levels of authority to POTUS - authority that they clearly would never want in the hands of a Democratic president.
Why are they doing this? While Trump, himself, may be a goldfish with no cognitive capacity to think beyond the end of his nose, Thomas, Alito, and Roberts _know_ better. The only way this makes sense for them to act as they are acting is if the 6 conservative SCOTUS justices never expect there to ever _be_ another Democratic POTUS...
What recourse do we have to apply Constitutional guardrails to this rogue court? It seems as if it can do whatever it pleases without regard for consequences.
So now any new president on taking office can fire ALL office holders who are carry-overs. Regardless of the position and regardless of any rules affecting that position. Nice to know.
It seems to me that a lot of what the unitary executive radicals on the SC are doing flow from the Trump v US immunity decision. That ruling essentially re-wrote the constitution and re-imagined the balance of power between the 3 branches. As such, it was a de facto overule of much precedent. If anything the president does is OK then Humphreys Executor, the Impoundment Control Act, the Administrative Procedures Act and I'm terrified to find what others are all now unconstitutional. Rather than put this in writing with reasoned arguments, the radical cowards are telling us through the shadow docket that Yes, indeed, we now have a king. Bastards every one!!
Everyone and anyone who was working in the Republican party since the 1960's personally owns a piece of the decimation of the US judiciary, including the Supreme Court, and gutting of the Constitution currently underway. "Never Trumper" insiders don't get to dodge their culpability simply because they abandoned the MAGA party after the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society - whom they once embraced as close partners - unleashed Christian nationalist hordes to crush democracy in the US.

I no longer think 5 SCOTUS justices lean right, I think they are actively working with Heritage Foundation.
I try to be precise in my language, so I’m not ready to say Treason, but they certainly are disregarding the constitution for an absolute felon/moron
But her emails…

Oh yeah that. That won’t apply if a Democrat ever gets back into office. Don’t worry. I’m sure Roberts has that covered.
