"It’s really hard to get suspended from the practice of law . . . ."

One of the biggest obstacles on the pot-hole-riddled road to justice.

"Hold my beer", said every still-practicing incompetent doctor everywhere.

Of ALL the Tr*mp SCUM, I'm beginning to like Habba the least and hope there is a point where she is NEVER allowed in a courtroom again, unless it's as a defendant.

I think of it as a race to the bottom... Not sure there's a scale to judge the worst...

Point taken... But still...

Great concluding sentence, Liz!

Stellar professional qualifications aside, Habba was clearly hired on the same basis her client uses to determine the value of every woman (and most men) who crosses his path: appearance. Meet Melania 2.0., a slightly meaner-looking and less polished version of the original.

Sorry to be off-topic, Liz, but you're a US lawyer and so infinitely better situated to comment on the Amazon spy-cam case than I. I thought you might want to cover it:

If you don't, I'll probably say something that's more opinion than analysis, but I'd honestly love to hear your thoughts.

Not to victim shame here, but somebody who goes to work at a Trump golf club in 2021 must at least know they are getting a paycheck from some seriously shady people.

Not that that excuses any of the behavior of the shady people, from the manager on up to Habba. I hope Bianca is okay both emotionally and financially, and I feel bad that this all happened to her.

But why would someone take a job there in the first place?

Food and shelter are powerful motivators.

"Not" and "but" could have been left out, and the comment would be as intended.

Hi Liz. It's curious to me that Habba isn't a named defendant (nor is Melichar). Aside from being a focal point of the chaos, she's also shown in the Relief section, but she's not a named defendant. Why is that?

Liz Dye's avatar

Well, she's not a party to the contract. And what they want here is to get the contract with the Trump club declared void, so then they can file a real claim.

And you know this server didn’t have residual funds left over to pay taxes on 15k when she figured this out in April; I really hope she isn’t;t in legal trouble for back taxes ;(

Hi Liz, it is now over 2 years since this article was published. I am wondering why this person has not been disbarred yet. I know that the Campaign for Accountability (CfA) asked the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics (OAE) to investigate her for subsequent unethical behavior, but it did not include this specific behavior AFAIK. Could you please provide some updates and insight?

Liz, What a great piece; albeit about a terrible person; thank you for writing this.
