As someone in their 30s who has been watching senior citizens run the country for the last 10 years, I disagree. The only part I agree with is that bad people become EVEN WORSE as they get old.
AS a senior citizen I can speak from experience and know many who are completely with it. The problem with youth is that in your arrogance you don’t even know what you don’t know yet and you lack experience, very often. The other problem I see with youth “today” is no interest in knowing history. I agree with your analysis of those running the country but I believe that is due more often to having an agenda not being demented. There are many in government that have the right ideas but can’t get them thru because of the way government is set up. Take Bernie Sanders, very old but completely with it and very ethical. We need a mix of young and old and there are younger people that I support. 30s is USUALLY way too young , tho, in my opinion. You may think you know it all by the age of thirty. I can guarantee, you don’t.
In all seriousness, I’m not deferring to a generation that voted us into multiple endless wars in the Middle East, bailed out Wall Street instead of homeowners, and supports a senile child rapist president. Your arrogance is astonishing, which you’re clearly projecting onto me. Also, Bernie needs to retire for his own sake. He can’t lift your generation up by himself and he shouldn’t have to.
