Rather than work on fixing the structural problems, Tim Pool's lawyers found it necessary to upload a colorized version of it. Some one should tell them Ted Turner isn't going to be on the jury. There isn't going to be a jury at this rate.
I figure an essential problem of the often lucrative right wing disinfosphere is people of slight (or even undetectable) intellectual gifts wind up in control of significant financial warchests they can use to file trollsuits and lolsuits and wtfsuits at wild abandon and with little prospect of achieving much but delay and confusion. I suppose it’s a nice make work for lawyers with little better to do. It seems to me also however in an increasingly choked legal system more than a mere annoyance otherwise.
There is absolutely a structural problem with this sort of actual lawfare (although Republicans have coopted the term in precisely the same disingenuous way that they coopted "fake news"). Elon Musk could flood the zone in literally every court in this country if he so chose and the cost to him would round down to zero even as he bankrupts private parties and exhausts the resources of federal, state, and local governments. It's a significant medium-term issue. -A
So. I learned a lot about asshole lawsuits back in grad school, when a video game critic I liked got sued for a bad review. Jim Sterling (now James Stephanie Sterling in all their nonbinary finery). Jim mostly didn't talk about it til it was over beyond the handful of "litigation ongoing" comments they made if anyone asked, and then dropped one HELL of a video after they lost the suit suing JSS for Ten Million Dollars.
One big thing was despite it being the DEFINITION of a frivolous lawsuit, it still took a LOT of time and money for Jim who had to hire themselves a lawyer and do all kinds of back and forth and while it got dismissed With Prejudice, they recouped neither time nor anywhere near all the money they'd had to spend fighting it That's actually not the most common thing in the world.
On the other hand the video they made on it also included this bit (talking about their own lawyer): "My lawyer countered this by claiming we can't prove there's not enough popcorn on earth"
Aww, an angry middle school dropout is gonna sue because his fee-fees were hurt.
Give him a freakin' lollipop and kick him down the courthouse steps.

Da.
What does his lawsuit come to in Rubles?

Apparently those above the law need not actually read or understand the law, that’s Sam Alito’s “job.”
The Discovery here will be interesting.
There won't be discovery. There will barely be an answer to the complaint! -A
Esp. on the "Why are you suing us? We didn't tweet that and it's illegal for us to do so."
Will this case die of neglect when the lawyers find there is no fee shifting in Federal Court?
FTG💩🤬
Failed to properly plead jurisdiction? Oooopsie!
I came over here to get more of the story. I thought Tim Pool was being a bit over-sensitive about a social media post.
Unfortunately, I just read a name-calling article.
Do better.
Did you get the free info you were looking for? The link to the tweet and the video, the filing docs, the background and failures of the filing? Yes?
Liz and Andrew always inject humor into their discussions. Pull that stick out.
Your reply isn't helpful. Do better. I don't like Pool. I'm not a supporter.
You aren't helping. "Liz and Andrew" aren't helping. It's not humor. It's sour grapes at best.
Its just weird that you come here for the free info yet feel the need to finger wag about the way they (always) present it.
YOU do better, Gregory. I’m not here to help you, I’m telling you how you cone across.
Fair enough, I suppose. It's their site, and they pay for it.
What's weird is why you feel the need to defend them.
Huh. Why wouldn’t I?

Tim Pool can go fuck himself with the rest of the GOP/Q/MAGGATS vermin. His "lawsuit" will be laughed out of court.
I hope Tim’s Mom has $$ to loan him for his legal fees!
